THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer with expertise in AWS cloud services and CI/CD automation to join our dynamic platform engineering team. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure while building robust deployment pipelines that enable rapid, reliable software delivery. You will work closely with development teams to streamline workflows, optimize cloud costs, and ensure security best practices are embedded throughout our development lifecycle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement scalable AWS cloud solutions following best practices and architectural patterns
• Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, and automation tools
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CDK or Terraform
• Architect and deploy Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration solutions
• Implement comprehensive security frameworks including firewall configurations, encryption, and access controls
• Optimize cloud costs through resource performance analysis and automated scaling strategies
• Design and maintain observability solutions including monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting
• Manage database systems including SQL Server, RDS, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch optimization
• Provide technical consultation on cloud architecture design patterns and best practices
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance system reliability and deployment efficiency
• Conduct security assessments and maintain compliance with industry standards
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles
• Expertise with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, etc.) and cloud-native architectures
• Advanced skills in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines) and automation frameworks
• Experience hands-on Infrastructure as Code abilities e.g. AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration
• Experience in at least one programming language and scripting language
• Good at problem-solving skills and proactive approach to system optimization
• Can communication in English
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders

NICE TO HAVE

• Knowledge of database technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch)
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch)
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration
• AWS certifications preferred (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer), or CKA
• Experience with on-call and incident management
